Good morning! Starting today, posts will probably be longer because as of Saturday, September 21, 2024, blog posts are now weekly instead of daily.
On September 21, 2024, I went with my family and a friend to Magic Springs (the theme park mentioned in the post on the 20th) in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Of the rides that they have over there, I only went on one ride with my sister and her friend: the Summit Plummet, which that was my first time, and while it wasn’t my favorite, I handled it pretty well, though I doubt that I could handle an actual rollercoaster (the “plummet” part is basically a 3-second downhill rollercoaster). As for taking pictures, I found out that the noises that my camera had been making was it adjusting the focus, and that night I found out that I had loaded the film in the wrong part of the camera, meaning that I got no pictures from the trip.
On September 22, 2024, we did our usual (as of August 11th) thing of having church at our house, with me playing bass, my dad playing guitar and my mom playing piano (a Roland XP-10 keyboard), but that day was our first time since we started doing that that we ate and chatted afterward (in the church world we call that fellowship). Since I found out how to load the film properly the night before, I took some pictures before eating. However that night and Monday morning, I realized that I hadn’t been paying attention to aperture, and that as a result, the pictures that I took that day might be much darker than they should be.
September 25, 2024 was my grandmother's birthday, and she turned 83, and while a lot of us said happy birthday, nobody except for one of my cousins actually did something special. I also filled up my first roll of film and loaded my second roll.
On September 26, 2024, I have continued to work on the Content page and got it published.
